My creative practice is deeply intertwined with the work I do in therapy. Rather than treating therapy as subject matter, I approach it as source material for interdisciplinary creative practice. I am particularly interested in how memory, adaptation, perception, and multiplicity can be explored through songwriting, collage, moving image, and performance.

From May through December 2025, I began an intensive songwriting practice, #therapydaysong. Every day I attended therapy, I created a new original song using the session as a writing prompt. Over eight months, I completed twenty-eight songs that became both artistic artifacts and points of departure for a broader body of work.

Nineteen of those songs now form the foundation of Work Water, Not Harder, an evolving interdisciplinary project I am developing in collaboration with guitarist David Romanelli. The work expands the songs through collage, projected visual environments, artist publications, and live performance, allowing a single source to unfold across multiple interconnected forms.

While the project is informed by my interest in complex trauma, attachment theory, and structural dissociation, its aim is not to illustrate psychological concepts. Instead, it investigates how artistic process can transform experience into visual, musical, and textual forms that invite broader questions about identity, adaptation, and meaning.

What began as a private creative discipline has evolved into an ongoing interdisciplinary practice. Project updates will continue to be added here as the work develops.
